1980 - Liberty City Uprising – Miami Race Riot Erupts

A major race riot erupted in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami, Florida, following the acquittal of four white police officers who were charged with the death of Arthur McDuffie, a Black insurance agent beaten to death after a traffic stop.
